This is really a practice piece, is quite old and very adolescent.
I think of it as an “Ooh I say” picture. You may recall the actor Leslie Phillips. That was one of his catchphrases in the 1960’s comedies that made him famous.
The phrase always makes me laugh. It is the sort of thing my sisters say when they happen upon an attractive man. You felt such pity for the object of their desires. The poor sap a lamb to the slaughter oblivious to his fate.
The picture has had to be restored as when completing it the paper got stretched leaving a hideous wrinkle within it.
