This is a relatively straightforward watercolour landscape of a place quite dear to my family, It is Dartmouth Castle viewed from the Kingswear side of the mouth of the river Dart
I just like it mainly for the range of blues but also for the viewpoint. It makes it feel like you are flying or maybe a giant.
That’s all there is to say about this piece other than it had to be restored. Someone presumably an Art Critic splashed some sort of oil over it which being a watercolour didn’t do it that much good. Still all’s well that ends well.
