This is my only attempt at pointillism. It was a project to produce cheap but high quality prints. All you had to do was photocopy the original and colour in the flowers. It is a bit of a failed project. The march of technology has passed it by, but I like the piece.
This picture isn’t that old really, but the progress that has been made with graphics software, printers and scanners since seems astonishing. I’d better be careful though, any more reminiscences like that and I’ll soon be telling you how all of this was once fields and having senior moments.
The choice of subject matter is simple. I like cats. They have perfected disdain and always seem to know the best place to be. Their only failing is you can’t laugh at them. They lack a sense of humour.
