After The Flood

After-the-Flood

This is a sister piece to Ghost. It has the same sort of underlying theme but it is also a bit of tomfoolery.

First it is a landscape in portrait mode apparently an unforgiveable transgression! I am baffled as to why. To be fair it might have been one of those things I think I might have heard. I like to go to sleep with the TV on. I don’t know why but you do pick things up without realizing. However, with your critical faculties switched off it is more often than not nonsense. I am fairly sure Scooby doo has not ever been a news anchorman for the BBC, I wish he had.

There is another banal reason for the picture and that is its proportions. The sides are related by the Golden ratio or should be. This being an irrational number means it can’t ever be framed precisely and that pays Andy back for the Scary Cat title.

The original attempt had a yellow to brown sky. Oh it looked dreadful; so kitsch. It may return as one of those clocks that were such the rage in the seventies but don’t watch this space.
