The painting started life as a traditional painting of a sunset with which I became bored. After all it is a bit of a hackneyed theme. This is the result, it just sort of developed.
It is surprisingly popular. In its last exhibition a member of the audience stridently asked of the stewards
“Can you tell me about that beautiful painting? What does NFS mean?”…
“Oh it means it isn’t for sale.”
“So can you tell me how I can contact David Phillips? Do you have his telephone number?”
“Oh no! We don’t give out Artist’s contact details”
I was standing 20 feet away. Isn’t the Art World a lovely place?
In the interests of balance, when shown the piece, another artist remarked –
“That is what it looks like when I get a migraine.”
